About Veronica "Ron" Brown

Ron has captured rap battles all along the American South since the beginning of her time as a photographer, and these events allow for her passion for photography to exist. Ron was born, raised, and still resides in Shreveport. It was only three years ago when Ron first picked up a camera to pursue her artistic hobby of photography. The artist uses a Canon EOS 6D. Ron has suffered from multiple brain aneurysms and even a coma which has affected her personality, motor skills, memory, and speech. As a mother and survivor, she copes with photography and believes in images that display passion. Inspired by the streets and local culture, Ron is relatively timid at first yet bold through her lens.

About Benjamin Ware

Born in Bossier City and currently residing in Minden, Ben Ware describes himself as a curious creator. He explores all forms of art including but not limited to traditional painting, music, woodworking, gardening, and even culinary arts. Ben has been interested in art since he was a child but began to pursue it seriously after a multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2015. While battling depression and a chronic illness, creating abstract art became his outlet. The artist uses acrylic paint, aerosols, alcohol inks, and lots of other uncommon media or found objects to create texture and unique visual art. The artist believes art has saved his life by functioning as medicine, therapy, and a coping mechanism to deal with his hardships. Inspired by life itself, Ben expresses his emotion and thoughts on his canvases through whimsical geometric patterns and bright colors.
